That truck looks really good. I had an 05 Tacoma for 180k miles. Never had a single problem with it. I miss that truck.

The ARB bumpers are one of the few designed to work with your crumple zones, so they bend easier

I read somewhere that nearly indestructible brush guards aren't necessarily a great thing.
The argument being the force of impact gets transferred to your frame rails (more costly to repair, if even possible) rather than sheet metal crumple zones.

Makes sense really. Less give in the bumper would
cause the frame to buckel more

The Trans4mer as Warn spells it, is Warn's bolt together winch mount. I got that to fit an 8274 on the truck.

He does. He just doesn't update his website all that much.
I always just email.
As for crumple zones, think about the money arb would have to spend to test them working with your crumple zones...
They don't. They tested a few of the older vehicles, years ago.
I always fish plate the accordian sections of the frame when I install a bumper. It's very easy to bend your frame if you use it to recover. Typically one side will pull forward.

I had a pretty solid custom bumper on my old Tacoma and ran my passenger framerail almost directly into a tree. It bent both of them to the side the same exact amount. The frame shop just pulled them back straight. An ARB would've crumpled and fricked shite up pretty badly.
I also had a custom rear one, and I backed into stuff constantly

Nah, they just put some clamps on it and pull it back straight
Posted on 6/3/16 at 9:02 am to Hammertime
Interesting. I figured it was a full tear-down to straighten a frame.

To the OP, Tough Country used to make/makes? a bumper for the Tacoma that looked similar to a Ranch Hand. Sombich is pricey though.
