I bought the MP15 when it was mentioned on the OB - on sale at Palmetto. Have fired less than 100 rounds in it - all Federal 22lr ammo from Academy. The first 50 rounds no jamming. Now, it jams virtually every 3rd or 4th shot. Casing gets stuck in ejector port. I broke it down and cleaned and oiled but it really wasn't dirty. Any thoughts? What ammo are you boys using / having success with for the MP?

I've never had an FTF or FTE in thousands of rounds of CCI or federal automatch
the only thing it jams on is cheap Remington or similar

try some other ammo and see what happens

Not sure which Federal ammo Academy sells. Cheap Federal (they make several grades of .22 ammo) is the only stuff I know of that's worse than Remington. In fairness, the Walmart Federal ammo usually has issues with failures-to-fire.

Buy some CCI Mini-mags as a test, and see if the problem resolves.

I'd also clean/lube the BCG. Doesn't sound like an extraction issue -- maybe insufficient velocity to eject the empty casings.

I have had the same problem, I discovered my issue was caused by the 30 rd after market mags I bought. Bought some OEM mags and the problem went away

Make sure you are disassembling the bolt when cleaning and very minimal oil. They run better on the dry side.
