So I just recently got my stamp for my AAC 7.62 sdn 6. March 12th submitted, came in on Friday. Picked it up and shot it today. Main reason I bought it was for my .300 blk. Daniel Defense M4 300 Pistol. Sig Brace for now but will likely SBR soon. 51t flash hider (i triple checked, its the right one)

So I ran about 30 rounds of 2 different kinds ammo, both subs. Remington 220 ot fb and Sig 220 ot. All cycled fine and locked the bolt back but I noticed that on halfway through the Sig ammo some small pieces of something fall out near the ejection port. Pulled the can off and there were very thing pieces of what appear to be copper jacket. Looked in the can...looked fine. Finsihed the Sig ammo. Removed can...nothing there. Onto the Remington. 3 rounds...largest piece of copper. Can looks clear and baffles fine when i shine a light through it. 7 more rounds...clear....nothing.

My question is how concerned should I be and what if anything do I need to do?

I just got home and really looked at the can and it looks normal to me. Also...it ran 5.56 fine with no pieces or anything. Sorry for being long winded. Exhausted and beat to shite by the sun today. TIA.

Can you take that can apart and look at it? If so I sure would.

In not an expert but what were your shot groupings like? I'd think if your bullets were hitting anything in the can your rifle would be hard to zero, have keyholes, etc.

Did you try to shoot the gun without the can?

Yeah i shot without the can...as i have done plenty of times before. Normal. Also i wasnt focusing on groupings today...but i was hitting the target regularly shooting offhand and I didnt notice any keyholes. Perhaps I should go back and take some time. I was more concerned with should I keep firing the gun with the suppressor or not at all.

How about some pictures? Can you put the can on and look down the barrel to see if the threading is off center?

It sounds like you're getting baffle strikes, but I wouldn't think the pieces would make it from the can back into your barrel and down to the ejection port.

The baffles look ok as in not damaged but i guess its possible its some light strikes. I asked around other places and it was suggested to get a rod to test concentricity. Ordered that. As far as pics....i dont know what good it would do...to the eye everything appears straight.

Have you checked the brass and if/where it's being damaged?

If the copper was in your upper receiver area I am going to guess the brass was not prepped properly when the bullet was pressed into the case which can cause the case to scrap off pieces of copper jacket. Maybe the neck wasn't expended to the right size. Or the inside edge of the brass was not chamfered correctly. Was this hand loads or factory ammo?
