You ever go on Thursdays when they play bluegrass in there?

Steak night is good, but I'm not a big fan of the bluegrass music. I only listen to both kinds of music and don't care for the jumbled crowd without a bartender on Thursday evenings. I'm not a fan of big crowds and always catch myself watching the others to make sure nothing out of sort will occur and the confined space with a spoon fiddler and banjo master in the corner distracts my attention.

Long story short, I usually come in and drink a beer or two and get my order to go. Frog always comps me a beer or two. I went up there in February with a fresh long-wheel based 10 spot for crawfish, as my wife was out of town. I had ten pounds of them at $6.50/ # at the bar and ten or twenty beers that evening. My tab was $32 and I told the bar keep to treat herself to something nice with the change. Good folks in those parts.

My uncle plays the mandolin in the band, so I take my grandpa out there every once in awhile to hear them play. Food's always good, and I don't mind the music, it just gets a little too loud with it all going on at once. the spot is always packed though.

We had fried fish and frog legs. Canebrake, and shared a strawgator with the group. Very good beer.
