i clicked on it last night,,, ms geauxt was in next room, and i had been watching sports on puter so sound was turned up.... i got so rattled, couldnt remember how to turn sound down, so just xed it...... i may watch it, after a couple george dickels...

I have had this happen on numerous Ambassadeurs, REVO S, pretty much anything that Abu Garcia makes. While you're at it you might as well replace the worm gear too. Total for both parts is like $15 and you can sometimes find them at Academy. I have probably replaced a half dozen worm gear/pawls. It seems to be the only thing that really breaks on the round ambassadeurs.

Thanks for the help guys. Went with the Shimano Chronarch E6 and a medium falcon coastal rod. Very smooth reel. Here are the results.

nice. if you ever need a short rod with a whole hell of a lot of feel in it, i have a shimano 5'9 and you can feel all datt shite.

Nice. I've got a Curado E7 on a falcon coastal 7' medium and I love that setup for saltwater
