re: Stocking Crappie and Bass in same pond

We always had no problem stocking bass and black crappie (along with catfish and bream). However, the white perch never reproduced. The specs (see what I am doing here) would just keep betting bigger and bigger and few and fewer until you caught them all out. Then we would restock more sac-a-laits.
(Please see my other post about my pond's pH and this comment is about the time before that went bonkers. Maybe the pH levels kept them from reproducing. We also never had much structure in the pond, just a few tree tops along the edge so my mom could catch bream.)

I would not do it. They will take over and stunt your bass

Side question- how long did your pond to fill and stay full?
I built one 1.25 acres last summer and it filled 2/3 full, i added minnows and it seeped/drained 90%. Now its up to 3/4 full, shallow end dry. The builder said it way fluctuate a bit at first and the drought didn't help. I hope its holding now.
Original question. Ponds shouldn't have crappie, only good sized lakes.
If/when mine holds water i'll go with a bass, and bluegill/shellcracker combo.

It didn’t take long, we are in enough topography to generate about 110 acres of watershed (estimate from pond builder), so more than enough. Filled-in in about six months, dipped a little during last summer’s drought, but quickly returned to full.

Last year's drought would have an effect, but the rain we have gotten over the past few months should have filed your pond. I'm not sure about the "fluctuate a bit at first" part. If it doesn't fill shortly something isn't right.
