I talked to Roush about this. No dealership in Baton Rouge will install it. You have to find an aftermarket shop to do it and it DOES VOID your factory warranty. Roush picks up the remainder of you warranty, but God only knows how difficult it would be to get them to pay a claim.
Any modification to the computer or tune and you can kiss your factory warranty good by.

$700 for just a tune is a lot of money. Not worth it IMO. For $700, I better get a pillar mount gauge/tuner and/or time on a dyno for a true custom tune.

I got a free Hypertech when I bought my truck, but if it were my money, I wouldn't buy anything that didn't come with a unit with selectable gauges. Now I've got to also spring for a Scanguage in addition to this junky Hypertech

Dude. Roush makes one installed at ford dealership that won't void warranty. 50 HP at rear wheels and 85ft/lbs of torque Just go there and save your warranty. $700 installed at local ford placw
Almost positive the listed gains are not at the wheels, rather applied to what Ford advertises at the motor. Also the way Roush works is they themselves include a 3yr 36k mile warranty when installed by one of their certified shops, which in BR would be Stang Hi. There are custom tuners out there that can give you significantly higher gains than this Roush kit, check F150forum. Lots of info on there.

Just ordered my tuner. Went with an SCT from Stang Hi Performance. I decided on them because they are local and actually write the tunes for SCT. He downloaded my current tune and asked several questions about the truck, how I drive, what grade of fuel I use, ect. This will be a custom tune and with the intake I just installed should get me 100hp/150ftlb. He will also redo the tune if I want to change anything in the next year for free and will swap It for any other truck at anytime for $50-$75 depending on how much he needs to change for the new truck (this one is 6 months old so I have no plans on a new one for quite a while). He claimed I should also see marginal mpg increases, although I'm not terribly worried about that part. I'll update this thread tomorrow or Friday when it's done and over the next few months with updates.

Update #1
Installed the tune Friday morning. Throttle response is night and day over stock and this SOB is FAST. It's making a lot more power and shifts much better as long as it's not to the floor. MPG is the same but I have been having a little fun with it so I expect to see that go up a little after I settle down and drive normal again. Overall I'm happy so far. If You are in the Baton Rouge area I would suggest going talk to Cody at Stang hi performance about the preloaded tuners compared to what he does. He convinced me that a tune specific to my truck is much better than one off the shelf and I can drive up to his shop if something were to go wrong.
