Redfish are fun, but I love filling the box up with 15" specks.

Stupid question is stupid. Both are awesome

Oh don't get me wrong.

Their aint nothing like getting a limit of specks. Something about the sheer number of fish just makes you feel accomplished.

Reds if I can catch them in deep water like down in Venice. Specs otherwise. But I seldom get to fish for trout so its more rewarding.

Equivalent amounts I'd rather catch reds. Specks are fun just cause you catch so damn many of them. And they taste better fried.

Reds fight a lot harder IMO in deep water. A 5-10 # red in Pass a Loutre fights a lot better than in Sister Lake or Dog Lake. Again it's JMO but I have more fun catching reds in Venice than in Lake De Cade area. I'll take a trout anywhere tho

Specks for taste
Reds for fun although two specks on a rig at once is tough to beat.
