I've got 2, the 40 and the backpack that holds 12 cans. Only "negative" about the 40 is gotta lube that zipper every so often. Keeps ice for 24hrs in all temps.
Also have a Tourit, which has worked well. Added bonus feature is it has a bottle opener built into strap.

I have one of the originals and a square top. The original sucks so bad. I hate using it because putting stuff in it is such a PITA. The only thing easy to put in it is a trout, so I save it for yak trips to the coast. The square top one is awesome, and am very happy to have it.

I've had the 40 a few years now. If you fill it up with ice and don't constantly open it it'll hold ice without melting a few days Holds 2 20lb sacks unopen. 2.5- 20lbs sacks if you pour the ice in. If you are using it as a beer cooler It'll definitely hold two cases along with 20lbs ice. I definitely wouldn't go larger with a bag ice chest....that bitch can get heavy..

Yeah I guess mine is called the Hopper flip? It's not the one that looks like a purse.

When I say it doesn't leak I ment out of the bottom or sides. I don't think I've ever laid either of mine on the sides for any appreciable time to really know if the zipper itself leaks or not.

My hopper was a gift. I don't see it being worth $250. Even $100 would be stretching it for me.

Both of mine were gifts. Neither zipper leaks, as long as a man closes it.

I have both AO and Polar Bear and I like them both. Polar Bear has a buy one get one free sale usually in the fall. They also have some nicer models with improved zippers and materials. I use the AO on my yak sitting in the hatch to hold some beverages when I'm out on the water.

I also have 2 different roll top Ice Mules. One was $50, and one was $100 or so. Small one has shoulder strap and large one has back pack straps. Very pleased with both

I bought an Ozark trail, zipper broke the first time I used it. Returned it, got another. Same thing.

I have a couple and if they are in direct sun they swell and the seams start to separate.

You can unzip a bit to let the pressure out and the one that was separating the worst still doesn’t leak.

I go to Home Depot or Lowes and buy a canvas painters drop cloth big enough to cover all of my coolers. I then cut it to fit and use liquid nail or whatever on the folds to shape it so I can pull it off or put it over the cooler quickly. By shaping it I've discovered that it doesn't fly off the cooler in the boat, truck bed, etc. By breaking the sunlight it keeps the cooler cooler and the ice keeps longer. Oh, on the flying off thing....leave enough material the size of the cooler footprint on one side of the cooler that it will fit under the bottom and set the cooler on it.

I've got an AO that's a little over a year old, never seen sunlight, and started leaking. Ordered a 30 yesterday. Hope it holds up better than the AO.
