I have not been out on the roads much, but in some wooded areas north and east of the Red, the lovebugs are the thickest I've ever seen. They seem to like white vehicles too. The white truck of a friend of mine was covered yesterday within a few minutes of parking. Isn't this early?
Facebook video on this guy's page-I can't direct link.
Not sure where from. I have heard both Deville and Marksville.

i remember them being worse when i was a kid. We would have old tractor oil in 5 gallon buckets sitting out and there would be 6 inches of dead bugs on top.

I call em "weather bugs" because about 30 days from when they are the thickest, the weather pattern will change. So most hopeful that by end of sept, things start to cool off around here

Was crazy this weekend. I was in the Larto / Saline area and they were the thickest I have ever seen. Think swarms just about everywhere.

There was some discussion of a cool front on the weather today.

Any truth to the claim if you leave them on your vehicle their guts will damage the paint?

I'm working around Carthage and they are getting worse each day. Seems like they are attracted to heat.

Two hours home from the dealership in a new jeep Cherokee the wife was having a meltdown everytime she hit one. Which was about every three seconds.

Family member drove up from Lafayette to Shreveport the other day and their car was caked with them. Then I drove down Hwy 1 just south of Caddo Parish and hit them there thick as hell.
I don't recall them being so bad this far north in past years.
