Oldest trick in the book.

1. Honk in the driveway to see if someone comes out.
2. Knock on the door to double check.
3. Kick in the back door and rob you blind

Had a situation similar in my area. Difference was it was an older woman who called the cops. They found the guy and stopped him and he had a bunch of stolen shite in the vehicle from houses he had been hitting.

Send him to my house. Tell him just to bring a grinder with cutting disk. All he has to do is cut the lock off my gate and boat trailer and he can be on his way. Will leave dogs in house and both sides of neighbors are at work during day

I must have missed something. Is the boat for sale or not? If not, why would this guy just randomly stop and ask? What did I miss?

pretty common thing to do many years ago...we find it to be rude now, but anyone over about 70 years old remembers this well...

Put a warning sign on the boat that it just returned from West Africa where is ferried Ebola patients and is now being quarantined for possible Ebola or AIDS. No one will come near your house.
