26 years old and have finslly found a place in life to where I can own a dog. I've grown up around labs (deceased grandfather had his own breeding/kennel business for duck tours in Argentina.) I've grown up with chocolate labs since j was born but looking for some advice on an any local breeders or any input on bigger dogs. I'm not necessarily looking for a lab but any input helps. Another family member has a German Shepard that I'm obsessed with. A few past dog pics to help

Getting a dog was a great move on my part. Having never owned a dog I figured I'd just jump right in. He's in the "doghouse" currently and test everyones limits but in the end he is a part of our family.

If you have the time and energy, German Shorthaired Pointers are great dogs. Very smart, loyal, and friendly. We love ours. She is a great dog.

I'm getting a dog this summer. Leaning towards a Chessie. Do your research on whatever breed you want to get. It will help with obedience, training, etc. Also if your just looking for a family pet/companion go look at your local shelters. They have some great dogs that just need loving homes.
