You should check out keymod handguards if you decide you want to change out the handguard.

AR's are Legos for men. I have dumped some money in a few but I love all of them.

Worth every penny though. It's the best gunsight on the market for an AR IMO.

Agreed. I thought you were saying it would be dumb to drop an expensive optic on a gun.

No. I don't ever see myself spending the money on one, but that's just because I prefer irons. If I were ever to put an optic on my AR I would save up for an ACOG

What's the deets on that, GT23? My nephews had a good time at my expense yesterday over my outdated rifles. They had tricked out ARs and all I have is 30-year old .270 and an even older 30/30. I've made up my mind that the next time we get together I'll have something to shame those assholes with!

It's a 4× scope with a bullet drop compensator reticle pattern (the second pic) with a tritium bar on top to illuminate the reticle pattern. That little glass square on top is a reflex sight used for short range engagement.

Those little dashes that get smaller as you go down on the bullet drop compensator represent the width of an average man's shoulders at each range from 300 all the way to 800. Anything less and you use the top of the red chevron.

It's the world standard for AR gunsight with a price tag that represents that. The Marine Corps has used them for over a decade and the Army has been purchasing them lately as well.

You can choose from a variety of reticle patterns but that is the one I would buy if I had the money. I believe they also offer 5× and 6x power magnification as well.

ETA: It's also built like a tank

No, it was stolen from me, NiB. I have the receipt, complete with that same exact Serial Number.

Trijicon

I've seen them for sale at gun stores. Jims has them I'm pretty sure.

Thanks...a friend of mine is a FFL and I have him investigating which of the Daniel Defense ARs are available to ship in the near future. I want some cool add-ons and tell my dipshit nephews that when I die the rifle becomes the property of their sister.

Damn I'm jealous. If you have the money it's the only way to go. It really will allow you to get the most out of your AR. You can effectively engage targets out to 500 and still do the ninja shite close in with the reflex sight. It also serves as an ad hoc range finder with the bullet drop compensator reticle.

Post pics when you get your setup

Yeah, I was wondering If the open sights were compatible with the add-on optics.

Outstanding! AR's are sweet and the Trijcon set up is dope.

It's an awesome weapon, but you have to keep it clean remember this.
