Ever hear of any South of I-10? I mean is there a distinct line that they're not known to cross like illegals and the Rio Grande?
I know they're not common down South, but I just figured there has to be a few anywhere blacks are caught.

would be intrigued to see what a 20 pound choupique looks like.
We caught one that felt 12ish lbs or so on a trot line. He layed over a sign on a metal pole that was a pretty good bit in the ground that we had tied to.
To put it into perspective, a 39in bluecat did not lay over the same pole.
I can only imagine setting a hook into one. Good lord.
Also, choupique, goooooooood eating.

I associate black with grass and clear. Whites with mud. The only places I catch a mix are Saline and TB. Never fished for them S of I-10. The Henderson shows I have seen were all blacks.

There is not a shadow of a doubt in my mind I have eaten a top 10 black. Hell we have one mounted that is over 3.

none of the fish posted in this thread look anywhere close to 2 lbs, much less 2.5 lbs

A FAT 16" fish weighs around 1.5 lbs maybe 2 lbs.

I don't catch big ones, ever. I had a white on last year at TB that was huge, but got off at the side of the boat.
I can't even imagine a 16. Mung caught a 14.5 Sunday and I thought it was huge.
