Will try to post pics when I get home. Limited out on trout and reds. Trout limits came quick. Took a little while to find the reds.

I updated it. I usually never use live shrimp, but I brought some today. I found bays along the mrgo and drifted them with a cork fishing a voodoo shrimp and caught a few keepers, but never found them schooled up. I found a deep cut that had pretty strong current and a current line behind it. I fished that current line with a Carolina rig and immediately started filling the box. I Switched to artificial and was catching bigger trout. When it slowed I went back to live until I had a limit. Then chased reds in duck ponds with a gold spoon. Water was clean. Hope this helps.

I'm looking to get into kayak fishing before too long. Where did you keep all these fish? Especially those larger Reds? I can't see how you'd have an ice chest that big, did you make trips back to the dock? Clearly I've never had that problem.

My fish bag is big enough for most trips. This was wasn't as easy. I had to take some ice out and rearrange some of the fish to get them to fit.

I've suspected for some time that we were friends but now I know based off your FB posts. It's been a while and I'm mostly a lurker but we've fished together quite a bit, even the Marlin tourney with the Doc once. I've moved to Houston and underestimated how hard it would be to come back in town and visit with friends in addition to the family. Rest assured though, I'm still alive and really need to catch up with the Pass a'loutre crew like you, DJ, DL, MM, etc. I assume you'll be able to guess who I am. It sucks that anonymity is at a premium here but I guess that's part of its' charm as well.

Either way, solid trip there for you Wednesday. I went with my brother to Delacroix on Thursday and we struggled but did fair in the end, 20ish trout, some reds, and some drum. I've never seen the water falling as hard as it was as most of our fall spots sounded and looked like Class 2 rapids. I think I fished too far outside around our duck lease which is near Four Horse and then further, as far as Bay Lafourche. The guys who fished near the traditional winter areas seemed to have done fine.

For those that care, there were some guys shrimping near the end of Oak River who appeared to be absolutely slaying it.
