Smith and Wesson PC 586 L Comp

I’m thinking about picking one of these up. I found a slightly used one. It’s LNIB. It’s a 7 shot with 3” barrel with the comp. It’s a Perfomance Center gun so has a good trigger. Anyone have one and want to give a personal review?

I don’t have that particular S&W wheel gun but I have 4 others. I don’t think can go wrong with any of them if that’s what you want.

My father in law has one. It’s really nice. It’s also heavy if you intend to carry it.

Great guns. Mrs. Midnight's old revolver is a 686 with a 3" bbl. It was a special run (not PC) I think they called it the Border Patrol model. (ETA: Now that I think of it some more, might be a Customs Service CS-1, also pre-PC.)
It was before they got into expanding capacity. She upgraded to a 627 PC with 8 shots at some point after that.
I still don't like the Clinton lock.

If people are serious about this, they need to boycott them. They make some models without the internal lock, so it is by choice.

I’m not a big fan of it either but I really like the gun. I know a lot of folks don’t like comps on their guns but I don’t mind them. My buddy has the Model 19 comp model and it’s a great shooter. The 586 model is a 7 shot. The 19 model is a six shot.

Thanks. The front sight sucks. The tritium dial is still small you can’t really make it out. Ordered some XS sight replacements. Other than that seems good to go.
