What say the OB lawn experts. Noticed I have quite a few small silver dollar weed clumps growing along my flower beds and extending into my yard. Whats the best way to get rid of now before they get out of control?

Go to the co-op and get a bottle of Atrazine.

Atrazine. Or move.

in my experience, the best way to get rid of and prevent weeds is a healthy lawn. A good healthy lawn will choke out weeds most of the time.

What kind of grass do you have? If you have St. Aug, use anything that has 2,4-D in it. That should take care of it for you.

Bonus S if your grass can handle it.

Spot application with Roundup. Monitor closely and reapply if you missed any.

Will work in centipede as well.

I use Weed Free Zone on my centipede lawn and it works very well. I hear Atrazine will work too and it's cheaper. I plan on trying it this season.

Be careful around your beds. Whatever you use will probably kill your flowers/landscaping.

Sorry, I took it another way. With the "gun free zones" working so well, thought you were joking.

Too early, and actually weeding and feeding should be done separately

right now use weed free zone, which contains 2 4D (Will kill the weeds you see now), or Bayer has a new product out that has 2 4D and a pre emergent weed killer (it will kill both the weeds you see and the ones that have not come up yet), it may take 2 applications 10-14 days apart, then you will be good till spring and after the lawn greens up then put variety specific fertilizer down and skip the weed n feed all together

if you have nutsedge - good luck, it is tough to get rid of but now is the time, use image and apply at least 3 times 10-14 days apart
