Are they effective against rust in humid climates?

I don’t use them for storage.
I just stick my guns in them for transport . I like them though.

In my experience, not only do they not work, but actually make it worse. Moisture gets trapped inside and can't get out. I threw the only one I ever owned away.

I've used them for short term storage like during remodels or home repairs. I've always put my guns in them after cleaning and at room temperature. I once stored a gun in a wool lined soft case after a hunt in cold weather and a week later when I removed it it had sweated inside the case and was rusted pretty bad.
