I'm always quick to question who's providing the funding for these studies.

My information came from Mercury, the largest outboard motor manufacturer in the country.

That's why I posted the link above, moreso than the test results. The quotes from lobbyists will give you the redass. Unbelieveable the nerve these frickers have. If we lay down and take it, E15 and higher will be all that's availiable.

Pretty defeatist attitude in my opinion. I would guess you don't vote, eh? Probably won't make a difference, right? We should all just learn to live and make due with the things that are forced on us.

I get it.

To me it sounds like a bunch of mis/uninformed people looking for something to blame for their motor messing up. Realistically though, E10 is something we will be dealing with for the forseeable future.

In the event you need gas for your boat and the ONLY available gas is E10, people need to understand how to properly care for it and how to use. Being prepared to deal with the worst case scenario doesn't mean one has a

My friends in Exxon engineering say it's a lot closer than it seems. I get that you're trying to be pragmatic and deal with the issue at hand, but that's the attitude that is fueling (no pun intended) the further use of ethanol.

Why I wanted to start the thread. Is it that difficult to count yourself as someone who would like to keep E0 available to the public?

How hard is it to tap a few keys on the keyboard in an effort to show a refinery that there is a large enough market for E0 to make it worth their while?

Hell, Pete Landry and others are doing all the heavy lifting.

The EPA wants it to happen. Exxon doesn't, but they're making preparations for it.
