I was watching The Sporting Chef earlier tonight on The Sportsman Channel and I can't get over how terrible it is. I've watched the show a number of times and these cats can't cook their way out of a paper bag. They have some ok ideas but they're poorly executed and just sloppy.

It got me thinking.. Has anyone ever sent in a video to one of the hunting channels and if so did you ever get a response back?

Would you think a Cajun themed cooking/hunting show would catch their eye?

I don't see why not. It's kind of like a music demo. Put some work in it editing, don't just send in some rough video, and you'll get better response.

I like out da bayou. It's different from all the other outdoor shows. It's not amazing or anything, but he goes around LA and does a lot of cool things. Way worse shows out there...

I like the show as well. John Jackson is the host. He grew up in my home town and does a good job of showing people how to cook what you kill\catch. His brother Jason runs\part owner of the Francis restaurant in St. Francisville.

Yeah I like the show meat eater but he focuses for more hunting and less in cooking.
