Only mink i have seen was road kill and was about the size of a large fox squirrel.

My PawPaw use to trap minks 40-60 years ago. They had more monks at one time than neutras. According to him seeing minks was very common unlike it is now. Otters are pretty common too.
When I was hunting with my father in law he set me up in a creek bed, this was in some piney woods in Summit, MS. I'm sitting there and I heard all kind of commotion going on. I look down the creek bed and see something moving, I couldn't tell what it was I thought it was big dog. I looked through my binos and it was a big arse Beaver. That was the first and last time I've ever seen one in the wild.
