many posters here... looking through facebook..reading the unbelievable DU migration map... Most reports are not good.
10-4, thanks for the response. I agree with you, and I haven't even hooked up the boat yet this yr.

I'll add I did notice a few new fat green heads today while cruising around n of Shreveport. Things have changed a little in the last week or so.

Good to hear. I know we had a few Green Day of snow and after. Not sure if they hung around.

But not near the numbers this time last year

Final report from my spot in Whiteville:

arse-ton of geese, and a good bit of ducks. Geese were in our back cut this morning. They wiped about half the stubble in our back cut over night.

For geese, i was always told: you gotta be there when they wanna be there. Well they wanted to be there during the closed period. Love that shite haha

WTH, from the report there are more pintails in Swla than teal altogether? That’s crazy.

From the reports almost no reason to hunt anywhere other than the SW part of the state. That's the way it's been for a while now... crazy

NELA reports this week changed to very positive on Wednesday. Apparently, a big push of birds came down

SWLA and Venice are the only 2 options really.

Curious from where because a lot of guys in SE Arkansas have been struggling and that has continued on ducks all week.

Went to look at our spot by Krotz Springs On Tuesday, saw a shite ton across the whole property. We mostly had Blue wing first split but we saw a lot more big ducks this week.

Problem with Venice right now is with the river so low and 2 weeks of strong n wind there is literally no water.

Many people are going to be in for a rude awakening tomorrow morning down there. I’m fishing now and don’t think I’ll even try and hunt until tomorrow afternoon. Water is s low as I have ever seen it in 40 years.

Just got a report from my hunting partner who went to set out decoys at our place of 71 between Lecompte and Bunkie. Said birds were everywhere but its a lot of spoonies. Ah well, I guess i'll have to buy an extra onion at the store.

I have family all in that area and they have smashed the ducks this year. Just south of Lake Village has been on fire all along Hwy 65.

As of Thursday, the fields we hunt in Jones loaded up overnight....vastly better than Wednesday.

Dave's Bayou had good reports of holding ducks this week. As did another area of Richland Parish.
