What's my target date for South Louisiana and what should I plant? Should I be starting seedlings now or just by transplants. I have 4 box beds now. I'll probably be taking out my tomatoes and cucumbers in a couple of weeks. There almost done.

Sugar snap peas were great last year as well, super easy.

Think there is some confusion in here. Believe OP was wanting to plant a fall garden for second summer veggies, not a winter garden. Tomatoes, peppers, cukes, snapbeans, squash stuff like that.

I guess it's a combination of both fall-winter if you look at the attached planting guide.

I've planted broccoli, cauliflower, and brussel sprouts for the last two years in the Fall. I had good luck with the broccoli and cauliflower, but my sprouts never got bigger than marble size.

The broccoli and cauliflower were super easy to grow. I never had to spray them. All I did was fertilize prior to planting and then before they started heading.
