Want to have some fun in the yak this weekend and give them a shot. What are the best artificial baits for them?

Freelining the gulp crabs would probably do the job.

If I wasn't headed south I would probably be down for that

My phone was in my kids stroller and the wife was about 100 yards behind me. By the time she got up to me, they had moved out about 50 yards to hit the baitfish.

Haha, yeah I know. Going to make sure I have a knife handy to cut away if need be. I've fought a jack that was smaller than the two i saw for 25 minutes from a boat. I'm wondering if a yak will even tire these big bastards down.

i think your question of bait has been answered

Yeah I know, I just wondered if anyone had a suggestion on a particular kind since I asked about artificial. I'm limited on time this weekend (family reunion and some other things) so I wanted to run to academy, grab the "6" topwater popper that so and so suggested" and just head out there. I was watching a video about some guys out of slidell using that, but I also saw some big plastic swim baits last time I was at academy, but maybe a big silver spoon would be best...get me?

Sounds like a nice family stroll.

Probably close to 48", biggest jacks I've ever seen. As far as pot-licking, there's a mile of shore front on the lakefront and probably many more than just those 2 jacks. Come on out and catch some with me.

I don't know what you're getting at, but if you're trying to be a smartass, you can take this shite to the OT
