Anyone seeing any rut activity? This south wind is insane. Hopefully this cool air coming end of this week will start something?

Depends where you are talking about. I've heard the tut is on in north Alabama but here in sw Miss its still a few weeks away.

It could be 20 degrees and that won't change when a doe comes in. It'll just make deer move more

It was starting in Madison parish a couple of weeks ago before the hot temps got here. I expect it to take back off this week with temps going back down

See the scrapes and rubs but no chasing. A buddy of mine killed a 10pt about 5 miles down the road two weeks ago and said he was chasing but I have not seen it. Seen lots of does walking around and seen a few bucks hit the scrapes but no chasing.

Give it a few more days they will start chasing in central MS. We usually kill most of our bucks between the 17 and 31.

I think this cool air will get them on their feet and get the Estrogen pumping and then here comes the rut!
