Rut in South east Louisiana

I have 75 acres that I hunt on. 2 years ago, I saw signs of the rut in December, but last year I didn't find a scrape all year long. I didn't see any evidence of bucks chasing does, rubbing, etc. I did kill a 7 point about 13 inches but he was feeding. I live here and saw a pregnant doe in my back yard at the end of August.

I am in Livingston parish in the watson area and I am looking for input from anyone that hunts in the area that might can give me an estimated time frame.
