To buy or not to buy?

No. I'd be looking at the Bersa Thunder .380 in that price range.

ladies carry pistol

That's odd considering I know 2 cops and an ATF agent that carry the LCP when off duty.

That's not saying much coming from you.

ETA: Glock starts with a capital G.

How did you decide that the G19 isn't a Concealed Carry weapon ??

Those of you with the Bersa Ultra Carries, is the price and weight difference of the 9mm worth upping the caliber over the .380?

I'd get a 9 mil over a .380, but that's just me.

Look at the kahrs

+1

My dad has a Kahr P380, and THAT is the best polymer 380 pocket pistol out there. The LCP is brutal on your hand and the Kahr is extremely soft. It's still difficult to shoot because it's so damn small, but for a 380, it's perfect. My dad carries it in his pocket 24/7 with the Crimson Trace laser guard on it. He works in a vet clinic and can pocket carry it in scrubs. It's that small.

Personally, I think the gap from 380 subcompact to 9mm subcompact is too substantial for pocket carry. If you wear cargo shorts (hope not; unless you're over 50) a subcompact 9mm, like my Kahr CM9, would fit in a side pocket. But for jean pockets and most other pockets, it's just too big. Then again, for IWB carry it disappears.

I carry my Ruger SR9c the most in my White Hat holster. It's a pancake IWB holster like the Crossbreed Supertuck and it is extremely comfortable. It's my primary CC and my Kahr stays in my car and is my other option if my Ruger is not out with me. Once I get enough money, a pocket 380 is certainly in the cards.

So I think you're best bet is a Kahr 380. Luckily for you, Kahr just released the CW380 at SHOT Show last month. It is the same size as the P380 but much cheaper. Check her out.

EDIT: But most of all, if you're still set on the LCP, that is a damn good price. The sale price for it at Academy was $299 at one point but isn't anymore. For $289 it's a damn good deal.
