Just bought a 10/22 and every other shot doesn't feed. This is with standard ten round mag. Is this a mag well issue, a faulty mag, or does this happen to every 10/22 made after 2000?

Try different types of ammo. I have never owned one but I have shot plenty (first .22 I shot actually) and I know they are a bit picky with ammo choices. The ones I have shot like CCI and Federal.

The platform has a great reputation. However, that is tempered with the fact that it will not feed every single .22LR reliably. And it will vary from rifle to rifle. Some simply won't accept bulk ammo. Almost all of them will handle CCI. Some will prefer Federal to CCI. And yet others are more forgiving.

You have to experiment with your own rifle to find that balance.

I would clean the rifle. It's possible there was some extra grease left in the action after production. Any dirt or grime is going to stick to it like glue and gum it up.

One of my kids 10-22 took a couple hundred rounds or so to get it broke in. Smooth as silk now.

Same issues with mine. Haven't shot it enough to figure out the problem.

Had similar issues. Tighten the spring on your rotary mag. May fix your issues.

Damn, glad I'm not the only one that is having problems. Go on YouTube, the main issue I'm having is that the mag is not sitting far enough up in the mag well, if I sit there and hold the mag while I shoot, I never have a problem. I believe there is a way to tight this, go on YouTube

spray oil in the mag and on the bolt, and get a new mag.

remington got it right with the nylon 66 years ago, browning SA .22, etc.

As regards reliability, yes.
In regards to accuracy, no. Any of the 4 10/22's I've bought will outshoot my Nylon 66 every day of the week and it ain't even close. The Nylon 66's is accurate w/ open sights only.
