How hard of a job is it to replace home windows on an older wood siding house that has wood trim around the exterior of the windows? This is for a rental property actually not my own, but I had some punks break 4 of my windows when it was vacant with what looks like a basketball. Can I just order some fairly cheap windows and do it myself, or should is it worth paying to have it done? The reason I ask is I think replacing the entire window myself would be cheaper than hiring someone to replace the halves that are broken.

If you can't just replace the glass, you may be able to just do a sash replacement.

Should be around $100-150 per window.

One of my sisters is a nutjob and has broken my parent's windows a few times. IIRC, it is relatively cheap to replace panes and they can do it quickly. They went from regular to tempered
