What's the best way to go about renting a camp in grand isle? Some friends and I are looking to go down for a weekend this summer and don't really want to stay at a marina or anything like that.
Thanks

we rent our camp for Tarpon Rodeo from Remax. Everything goes smooth. Keep in mind there will be a minimum stay during the summer.

Does anyone know if there's anything big going on the weekend of july 25?

That's the weekend of the Tarpon Rodeo. If you're planning to book I suggest doing so now as when I checked around 2 months ago there wasn't much left. If you're looking to actually get some fishing done when the island isn't so crowded I suggest finding another weekend. If you're looking to see strippers use baits as dildos on the back of some nice sportfishers, you're in luck.

yeah, that would be Tarpon Rodeo aka the biggest week of the year for the island. Our camp minimum was Wednesday-Sunday so we will be heading down after work Wednesday.

If you are going to fish then I would choose a different weekend. Tarpon Rodeo is a gigantic party and the island is packed as packed gets.

We've used vrbo and century 21, both have good camps, we make sure to get one on the water with a dock.
