Brandon Carter knows how to find fish, that's for sure. He can come off as stand-offish at times though.

Also, after a limit of trout, I don't think he has any desire to really chase redfish. That's my only complaint. He always seems ready to get back to the dock.

Not in Venice, but the best guide I've ever fished with was Charlie Thomason. Really personable and shares a wealth of knowledge on every trip.

He's got a good group working for him too. Those guys work hard for the customer.

Charlie is a solid 10! His best guide is Joe Vinson
If you don't get Charlie.

We here to name call or point the OP in the right direction to catch fish? So far we've got two old geasers, a dickhead, a drug head and a great guy not in the location he wants

The best I've fished with, and the one I continue to use, is Ron Price (Fish Intimidator).

A few weeks ago he offered to tow me in when I broke down (my hydraulic steering cable punctured and I had no steering). Luckily I had someone nearby to tow me. He let me borrow his rope since I didn't have a long rope also. Nice guy!

Hopedale

And when I mentioned that he always shares a wealth of knowledge, I've fished speckled trout and redfish my whole life and I still learned a bunch fishing with him. I've probably fished with him 3-4 and have always had a great experience.
