I live in BR and I want to take my 13-year-old son and 75-year-old father on a nice guided duck hunt this year. Probably just one night/one hunt, maybe two nights if combined with fishing. Needs to be a nice, very professional set-up with pro guides, etc. The kind of thing a big business would take their out-of-town clients on to impress them (which my dad used to enjoy before retiring). Gotta be reasonable driving distance from BR. We can bring guns/ammo/camo. Any suggestions?

Team Brodie charters out of Biloxi. He's a true professional that will make any accommodations necessary. Oh yeah and he pounds the ducks.

You could always go pay 3000 each for a 3 day hunt at honey break but guarantied they are booked already. The thing that gets me about that place is some of there blinds are on public land (Catahula lake) from what I have heard.

That is pretty much a fact. It is some of the lower guides that you don't see on TV that guide on catahoula. One of the former guides from honey brake stacked them on catahoula and some fields. Might want to look into that. Full strap and stringers. They also do fishing but not sure about during duck season.

I'm looking for somewhere also but I could care less about all the frills and fine dinning and 5 star accommodations .. Yeas I would like somewhere to stay nothig fancy just a bbq pit and a fire ring to enjoy some drinks by would be perfect. I can bring my own beer and cook my own food and buy my own biscuit at a gas station.. And clean my own ducks.. Anyone know anybody like this ?

I second Top gun. Exactly the experience you are looking for! I have hunted along side them many times. You won't find finer people than Kolby and his father Davey.

You guide for this outfit? I don't think I'm going to be paying to hunt the lake I have a blind on already but I will drink beer with us while I'm up there,, from what I here we won't be do much shooting this year anyway water is supposedly still 15 feet over our blind

No I don't guide for anybody me and my buddies have a couple of blinds in the trees not in the actually lake. I'm always game for drinking beer. And it could be a little bad this year I know the water is still very high not very much grass is going to grow at all if the water doesn't get off soon. I'm headed out there next week to ride around. I will keep you posted and maybe drink some beer come winter.

Ryan Lambert has a very nice place in Buras if you want to blast and cast. Not going to kill mallards, but you aren't going to kill trash either. If River is right the fishing will be second to none.
