Nitto mud grapplers. Yes they are loud but balance very and provide some serious mud slingage! I have them on my 4WD now.

Bf Goodrich, km-2's. clean very well & last longer than any other tire I've found. 60000 miles long

I also like to Goodyear Wrangler mts but they aren't cheap.
Also dont last long. I have Nitto mud grapplers, never even had to put in 4wd when I put them on, and we used to launch the boat literally by backing down a damn mudded out ditch before. Just dont plan on driving down the highway and having a conversation or listening to the radio.
Not True. If you take care of your tires right they will last. I have the Good Year MTR's W/ Kevlar side walls. The tires will make 2 years old in November and 20+ thousand miles on them. I have at least 75% thread life left. I'm expecting to get 60,000 miles out of the tires. They get rotated every 4,000.
They are expensive. Paid something like $2,400 for 5 of them. But they pull like a mother fricker in the mud.

Question for the OP? Why 33" tires on a 5" lift? Just some advice, those tires are wayyyyy too small for that size lift. 35" tires min with that size lift.
Posted on 9/16/13 at 8:07 am to GotDucks?
I have 33's on a 6" front/9" back lift and I find they are just right.
It might be better with the newer trucks, but mine wouldn't be able to clear 35x12.5s in the front without different backspacing on the rims.
ETA: And 35's or bigger are pretty much never a good idea on a half ton anyway without regearing.

Good god man, you must a some serious rake in the front.

What truck you have? Thats crazy a lift that big couldn't handle 35" tires

Not true. I've never had a problem with gearing issues on all my lifted trucks. My current vehicle came from the factor with 35" tires

I have bags in the back. It goes from +4 to +9

A 94 z71. They would fit in the wells, but they would rub at full lock on bumps. It's rubbed the 33's before going through ditches while turning. 35s would probably be ok if I didn't beat on it so much.

It's probably geared for it. 35's are too much tire for most half tons. Most of them come with very high rear end gears and will hate their life with 35's, even with the new 6 speed transmissions. It won't seem that bad until about 40k miles when it starts falling apart.

Gotcha, Bags are nice to have on lifted truck, especially if you tow a lot. I got this as a factory option on my truck.

4:10 stock gears. Not sure what most factory GM's run.

I agree.
Must kind of be a Chevy thing though. My buddies leveled 2010 Silverado couldn't go bigger than 33's...and he still has some slight rubbing at full lock. My Ram could fit 285/60/20's, which are 35" tires...or very close...with just a 2"/2.5" level. I was going to go with that size, but way too expensive...and they are 8 or 10 ply, which I don't need nor really want.

I think most factory gm'a are 3.55...maybe less.

That's the difference. Most half ton chevys have 3.08's or 3.42's. Neither one is worth a damn for 33's much less 35's. I have 3.73s in my truck and anything more than 33s would be too much for it.

Yea they're pretty awesome. Mine are aftermarket and don't have enough travel though since they use spacers to make up for the lift.
Jordan, chevy definitely has the least room for rubber but a longgggg ways compared to ford and dodge.

it would probably help if I went with 4:88 or 4:56 gears. It would help with the gas mileage. 4:88 would put me back to stock with 37's
