Recommend Knife Maker - Old Tools?

My mom just built a new shed and we are sorting through all the old tools my dad had because we do not want to move everything into the new shed. Had the idea of taking some of these old tools and having knives made for all the kids/grandkids. I know wrenches aren't the best metals for knives but I would rather do that than just have them go to waste. I think it would be something great for the family as well. Anyone done anything like this? Can you recommend a knifemaker that does this? We are in North MS, but could have this done anywhere. Thanks in advance.

Usually wrenches are made out of D-2 tool steel who he’s is decent steel. I would definitely do it. That’s a great idea

Have some old files, old chisels, and old punches in the mix as well. I doubt the knives will ever get used, it is just something I think everyone will like and I think it is something my dad would have appreciated.

Uncle had us some knives made from my grand paws crow bar that used to ride in the bed of his truck on the farm. Lemme know if you would like the makers info, NE La.

Would love the info if possible. I have spent the last hour going down a rabbit hole into making knives. I have enough projects for this winter but it might be something I look at taking a dive into over the summer.

There's another Forged in Fire winner just outside Shreveport. He won the 1st International Tournament.

Small world isn’t it. I work with a man that carries a folding knife made by Jay.

He's was a great father in law. Shooting on his property is what I miss the most. He was supposed to teach me me knife making.

D2 makes a really tough blade. My EDC is D2 steel.

Like Damascus style? That would be really neat great idea. One question can I have the 10 mm socket if you find an extra one.
