It's a beefy knife for sure. I order all of my knives from knifeworks out of Columbia, LA. Good people

I carry this in my kayak. Been a good knife. Really sharp and holds an edge. Might not be as large as you're looking for. Comes with a kydex sheath. Retails for $45 but I got it on amazon for like 20 bucks a few years ago. It's got G10 grips

These knives are great. Very sharp. I was drunk once on a camping trip and cut my pinky open to the bone just by removing it from its case and having my intoxicated pinky in the wrong spot.

Old timer sharp finger. Classic skinnin knife. Cabelas had them on sale last week for $12. That's hard to beat. Blaze orange handle so it'll stick out.

Northern,
I like fixed blade knives and find myself using them more and more compared to folding knives when I'm hunting I may disappoint you, but I'm also partial to inexpensive fixed blade knives. For big game hunting, the three I find accompanying me on deer hunts more than others are:
Kissing Crane "Classic Hunter." Bought mine from AG Russell for $40 or so.
I've got a number of knives that are more expensive than these two Cold Steel knives, but I really like the"Roach Belly" (Yeah, that's a horrible name, but it's a historical description of the blade shape) and the "Canadian Belt Knife." You can find them all over the 'net for <$15.

Also, get one of these $12 Mora knives and thank me later. Their steel is top notch, and it's $12. LINK
1+. One can spend a LOT of $$$ and still get a knife that's not superior to the Mora knives. I keep one in the glove box of my truck.
