They all work to a degree. Just some work better than others. The good ones have better range and show you the direction it's coming from.

IMHO, the V1 has a learning curve. Takes a few months to figure it out. I don't even have mine on in New Orleans city limits because nobody is ever checking for speeding. You're still gonna have to be weary of instant-on radar.

Put it this way....when I drove out to California, I had my detector, the jammer, and waze all going. I only got one ticket, and that was an instant-on speed trap, and I ran 85-105 the whole way there and back. Was hit with laser a few times. The only time I ever slowed down was when traffic forced me to. That's a successful trip in my book

What's the sneakiest shite you've seen a traffic cop do? I was getting random KA alerts in rural Mississippi one day. It was a curvy two lane road but still had a decent amount of traffic. The alerts went on for a few minutes before I found the cop. It was a motorcycle cop that was tailgaiting the car in front of him to obstruct himself from the view of on coming traffic. When a car would approach from the other direction he would pop up and instant on them.

Without the V1 I would have been dead.

I dont know if the V1 does it but the passport max I have learns the false alerts around town and blocks them so your shite isn't going off for every CVS door. You can also program a bunch of other styles of alerts. I would like the new one with the arrows becasue that what something I liked about the older V1s. I just haven't looked lately to see if it has the GPS false alert feature. my wifes radar does not have this and I forget how much it would go off around town.
