Will this gun handle peep sights? Thread earlier has me wantin one with peeps. Barrel is threaded and i have plenty of scoped options. Would be a pig and yote gun. Would it mount to picatinny rail? Can or do they make the front piece that could screw on barrel or would a gunsmith have to mount it professionally? I just really like this gun. Just curious as ive never owned one. Here is link to gun. LINK

You'd have to have a gunsmith put a front sight post on it and it would be a pretty tall one to deal with mounting a rear aperture on the rail section. Better go shopping for a Gunsite Scout or similar.

You could but the receiver isn't milled for a rear aperture sight, again you'd be taking it to a gunsmith. By the time you've spent the money you could have just bought a scout rifle. Another route for you is a levergun and then putting an XS rail and sights on it.

you can get a ruger rear sight that attaches at the rear scope mount (take the rail off)
you can get a thread-on muzzle device that incorporates a blade front sight

boom...peep sights

I like that rifle also and probably will grab one later this month
I'll put a reflex sight on the rail though and shoot suppressed

I don't think the receiver is milled for the scope bases like M77 type Ruger rifles. Under the rail there is just smooth metal and the tapped holes to mount the rail. No dovetails, nothing to properly mount a base on.

if it's drilled and tapped instead of the dovetail bases there's a rear sight that will work on that also. It's the mini 14 rear sight
