Great news if true.
I would question it because as someone else has said there is no way to report them unless this was just a sample of hunters. Another question is how many sampled were QDMA?

I read somewhere that it was only on DMAP properties

Id bet less than 50% of the hunting land in the state is DMAP

Today there are over 700 cooperators participating in the DMAP program on approximately 1.6 million acres.
25.4 million total acres in the state. So 50% would be extremely high

DMAP participants have improved age structures and sex ratios on enrolled properties. Many states in the southeast have found that 1-1/2 -year age class bucks account for 75% or more of the antlered buck harvest. In contrast, the 1-1/2- year old buck harvest on Louisiana DMAP lands in recent years has accounted for 20% or less of the antlered buck harvest and cooperators are harvesting more, older aged bucks.
So for a study that's state wide it's not a good representative study. I dont know how the other states data was presented though.
