Push Lawn Mower Recommendation

Anybody purchase a push lawn mower lately? My old Sears Craftsman that I've had for 16 years finally died.
I think I've narrowed it down to a Lawnboy or Troybilt. Anything else I should look at? Got about a half acre to mow. TIA.

Honda mtr is the key, the rest is a deck and wheels. My father has a Honda self propelled w a composite deck that is 25+ yrs old ......

I've got a Toro Super Recyler that I have been less than impressed with. It really sucks at mulching wet grass, and wet St. Aug is impossible. The only thing that works is using the side discharge and it shoots out big clippings if I use that.
If I could, I would bring it back for another brand/model.

I'm leaning towards this one. I'm just leery of the fwd self propelled deal.

I've got one of the Lowes Troy Bilt with a Honda Engine. Cranks EVERY time.
Just make sure it has a Honda engine & you can;t go wrong.

depends what you want to spend. I owned a walmart special for many years. Not a single bit of trouble out of it. Noever changed oil, nothing. Ran over everything with it.
Then for a few years I owned a Husq from Lowes. It had some card issues. Ran faster than the wally world mower but that is about it.
Now I have a Snapper rear wheel drive. So far I like it. Runs realfast 7mph. Variable speeds.
Only thing different I noticed about the theree is the speeds. I like the faster speed.

Just get the cheapest mower with a Briggs & Stratton engine at WallyWorld or other box store.
They all work well and last well with minimal maintenance.

Stay away from the TORO variable speed self propelled. Google it for reviews.
The mower/motor itself is great, but the self propelled system breaks way too much. I went through 2 of them in 8 months and switched to a normal push mower. No problems now.

So did both of mine. That isn't the issue with them. The personal pace has known issues.
