Prayers from the OB, might miss hunting season

The wife and I were involved in an accident Sunday morning. The wife broke her hand and got a swollen knee with some bruises. I on the other hand blew out the socket where the femur hooks to the pelvis and had a few lacerations. Finally getting sent home today and the Dr is giving me a few orders before I leave. "No weight on the left leg/hip for 8-12 weeks." God knows what other kind of restrictions after that.
Anyone ever been this damn close to hunting season then got shut down like that?

damn that sucks man, sorry to hear. can't say I have had an experience quite like that. But, I was a sprinter in college and couldn't run my last season due to injury.
I was completely devastated. So on the bright side, at least you get to hunt again next year instead of never again.

That sucks! I had the same thing happen. I had invested in a really nice club/lease, bought a four wheeler, extra stands and a new rifle for the long powerline shots and going to a family wedding had someone plow into me and the family while turning into the driveway.
Luckly we were in a Jaquar and the state police said if we were in another vehicle there would have probably been more serious injuries. I had the worst of it with a back injury, had to have surgery on both knees. I never made it back to that lease. Sorry to make it sound so crappy but that was what happened to me.
Hang in there! There's more to life than hunting. Or is there??? Lol.....
