I'm thinking about putting one on my 1854 prodigy/gtr37.
I know they are super popular in the yak community. I've seen where some guys are putting them on their bigger boats.
Anyone here have experience with one on a larger boat?
What's the deepest water it can anchor in?
I see it can use any anchor rod as long as it fits 3/4", anyone use a longer dig in style anchor (12') compare to the longest micro at 8.5'?

I have one on a 18-54 Gatortail. 5 1/2 foot or less if water. Doesn’t do good on hard bottom(oysters and rocks) Does great considering the price compared to full size. 4 other friends with surface drives and they all have one. Not perfect but I reall like it. Easy to take on/off. Pole comes out so nothing is sticking up when bouncing around stumps and trees, much lighter and cheaper. Strong current and wind play hell but set realistic expectations for a 1/2 fiberglass pole.
