That's still very risky. A revolver can be fired in this manner but every semi auto has a different slide/grip height. It's only a matter of time before it bites her.

If she grips it as high on the grip as possible and her finger is in the trigger guard, it won't be a problem. Just get her a bit more recoil conscious and she'll learn how to control it.
