Poked a hole in the boot of my waders yesterday

Got a pair of cabelas waders at the beginning of the season and I love em, but yesterday morning I poked a hole through the boot just above the ankle on a button wood limb. What's the best way to repair a hole like this. Does anybody think I might could return them for a new pair being that they are only a month or so old?

you need to find a product that can seal the hole while remaining flexible.

Academy sells a tube of wader patch gel that I used to repair a hole in the boot part of my waders this year. It took two coats, and it takes 10-12 hours to cure, but it works like a champ. MY brother bought a patch kit at wal-mart that came with a piece of waterproof material and some of the same gel stuff that I think also worked.

Because I've never in my life had a boot that was fragile enough to let the most brittle piece of wood in the entire world poke through it with minimal force. That's a pretty decent reason IMO for a 250 dollar pair of waders that are under 2 months old.

See if Academy will take them back. I only buy the cheap ones from academy because they never last anyway.

I got them from cabelas. Why would academy take them?
