Pittman-Robertson Act and Wildlife Conservation

(Dislcaimer: here comes a random, unprovoked "rant")
After listening to an episode of Meat Eater (I'm addicted; thanks OB), I was really curious about the dollars that are actually generated from the Pittman-Robertson Act. I've known since college the successes tied to P-R funds, and the whole story around everyone getting on board with it and pushing it into law faster than probably damn near any other legislation in the history of this country (90 days?!?! Does anything even come close to that now? The Affordable Care Act took over a year to pass).
But, the one argument I always see from the anti-hunting crowd is that hunters do not put more money into conservation than them like we say we do.
Well, I think the numbers speak for themselves:
I have a hard time believing any group is putting more money into conservation than hunters. Truly a magnificient piece of legislation that has made a tremendous impact on wildlife.
But the antihunter will point to a variety of organizations that supposedly contribute more money than DU, NWTF, Delta, etc.
We can use the arguments about management, food, pleasure, etc. for why hunting is important. But you can't out numbers like P-R numbers on any of those reasons. The money we generate by buying hunting shite funds wildlife conservation.
And serious, don't talk about any more podcasts, please...lol. It's all I've been listening to for a month now. It's driving my wife nuts!!

2013- $522 million
2014- $760.9 million
2015- $808.4 million
2016- $695.1 million

Wait until you're all caught up and you can't wait for new ones

Don't remind me! Lol!
I'm closing in on that. Luckily, I have Randy Newberg and April Vokey that I will try to fill the void with. Or I'll just go back and list to some of my favorite episodes.

On episode 20 now, love the podcast, wish Netflix would get more seasons of the show

YES!! They need more seasomd om there. His solo Coue's Deer hunt, the small game hunt with Kevin Murphy, and the episode in New Mexico where they talk about Aldo Leopold are by far my favorites...of the two seasons I've watched. The one with Eduardo Garcia is pretty damn good too.

My two favorite episodes of the ones on Netflix are the sooty grouse. The podcast about those episodes is hilarious and makes his incompetence in the show seem even worse.
