I know we have had a hundred picture threads already, but obviously we all like to show off our shite. So, post a picture of your hunting dogs.

She doesn't really hunt, but that's only because she chooses not to......

My girl... RIP. Was a hunting retriever champion... she did great at all the field trials.

This was my boy. He was a duck hunting machine and truly man's best friend. He was that one dog in you life that you will always remember.

Nimblecat, those are some gorgeous animals.

Here are the squirrel dogs. The first one was Boogey, he was really coming along, but came to an early end.

Dottie is a stay put tree dog, unless you shoot a gun. Poor little girl is just a little too high strung. Trying to get her out of it, but have been around dogs for a long time, and I don't think she's gonna make it. But I love her and she's here to stay.

Thank you. I would give anything to have those guys back for a year in their prime. Your dog looks like it would go and go too.

There was zero quit in that animal. I trained him when I was younger and a lot more angry. He listened better then any kid and was a pleasure to be around. Everyone loved that animal and all the old men in camp wanted to take him hunting with em. I'll never have another like him. I'm not even worried about having him in his prime, I wish I could just spend his last week with him again.

My dog passed away last year but was a great pet and hunting companion.

THis picture was taken in pilottown which is pretty much gone now thanks to Katrina, that bitch. Like this picture due to the lighting.

This was a funny picture. Dog probably fetched over 100 birds in a 3 day period and was "dog tired". Picture started with him standing by the ducks and by the second picture he got so tired he just laid down and went to sleep in the matter of seconds.

This one was taken on his 10th birthday. He had a birthday party filled with McDonalds treats (chicken nuggets). Unfortunately he was just diagnosed with bone cancer and as healthy as he was in this pic, he died 5-6 months later.

Jason, awesome pics. I thought the one with him passed out was great, but the last one is pretty damn funny as well.

Love me some labs.

I agree. Nice looking animals. Very stocky. They look pretty heavy built.

Mine weighed in around 98-106. During hunting season he would lose weight. In fact if I left him somewhere for a week without me, he would get sad and lose weight too. People used to ask me why you got such a big dog, he's got to weigh down the pirogue. I just used to throw his big arse out and make him swim or walk though. He was so high strung when younger that would help with calming him down in the blind.

Can you believe he's 11?
He's made it to see the Saints win XLIV and in 3 months he'll meet my first son.

He wasn't a hunting dog, but he's been a fine companion.

Yep me too. Been having labs since I was young and had my first dog at 4 years old.

And I had one also who chose not to hunt. He was a great pet, just not interested in ducks or fetching. Looks like you have a nice chocolate there.

Mighty big pic there. No he doesn't look 11. Looks pretty healthy to me. My lab's face started to turn gray around 8 and was almost all white by 10.5 when he died.

She's silver and she has what it takes to hunt. Both her parents were champions, but she has had some knee problems and is just getting to the point that I would be comfortable pushing her. Thinking about sending her to the trainer soon.
