Trying to teach my son we he can shoot at our camp and last year was a fail with him blasting 2 year old 8 pt 20 minutes after being on the stand. (my send me picture of it on phone before you shoot it didn't pan out)

Anyone know of something i can print out in color like a photo card so I can just circle the right deer. (LOL) Hell I will probably need it too.

That's got to be a tough restriction for a kid to judge. I'd imagine most here would have a tough time saying if something is 22 or not. Without showing him a bunch if pictures of deer that are shooters, I would just make sure anything he shoots is bigger than what he did last year.

How old is your son? I'd imagine that his lack of patience/judgement comes from age and just seeing an 8 point makes him think it is a big deer mentally.

Oh. Nevermind. He should know better
If he doesn't already, get him a decent pair of binos.

It was youth hunt and years ago would have been great, but we are QDMA club now. Was first hunt totally by himself and he just panicked. This was after the damn Remington misfire. Stange day
