Does anybody have any recommendations for a pellet grill under $800. I am currently looking at the Camp Chef and the Cabela's pro series.

I have a RecTec RT-700, and it's fantastic. No better customer service as well

I just got a GMG , I also have a 4 month old Traeger. The Traeger is a POS especially compared to the GMG. Stay away from Traeger.

Bought a Camp Chef Woodwind in August. Absolutely awesome!

Their clean out tray for the fire box makes it so easy to clean. I did pay extra for the side sear box, but it’s very much worth it.

ETA: Most on here have been talking about customer service. I’ve yet to experience and issue so I have no knowledge of Calp Chef’s CS.

The owner of GMG laughs at this. Customer Service calls go to his cell. I rang them on a Sunday once for an issue. He priority-shipped the part out THAT DAY and I received it the next.

RecTec may have great customer service but I fail to see how it can be BETTER than GMG.

Well, on Christmas day the owner of RecTec was responding on the facebook owners page with their cell numbers as well.

I'm sure they're both good. Traeger horrible though. On par with ATT. They wait about a week to even ship anything.

I bought a $400 Pit Boss from Walmart with average expectations. I've put about 60lbs of pellets through it so far and it's been straight up awesome. 700sq inches plus a top rack allows me to do 4 racks of baby backs at a time, which is good enough for me.

I have the larger Cabelas brand love it. We use it at least twice a week and is awesome. Got it on sale for father day for around $600. It is going on 2yo and only the temp probe doesn’t work. Has been a great addition if you love smoking ANYTHING.

I got the same pit Boss 700FB.
Customer service experience was excellent.
Just know how the grill works and take care of it and it’ll work fine

I have a GMG Daniel Boone with WiFi capability. It’s a great grill in your range. It’s better than a comparable Traeger. I looked at GMG, Traeger and Yoder before purchase.

I have a Camp Chef (a Utah company) and the boy and dog busted the temp probe port while goofing around playing ball. Camp chef shipped out a replacement controller board to me the next day no questions asked.

I bought a Yoder which is a bit out of your provided price range BUT I have had no need to find out about customer service over 3 years and 2 and a half pallets of pellets.
