When I fished it last year I thought crowding would be an issue but it really wasn't. You end up with almost 50 miles of boundary space so people get spread out all over from Golden Meadow to Grand Isle. I remember launching at the Leeville public launch and there only being 4 or 5 of us last year.

Yea same, the actual fishing isnt crowded, but the Fri night meeting and weigh-in will be. That puts 300 fisherman in one place at one time. The actual fishing will be 300 fisherman from Bason's to the GI State Park (50 miles of HWY 1).

45 slams were turned in, I came in top 100.
2 tournaments in a row! That's impressive. I wonder if they'll do LOY (Luck Of the Year) series points winner at the end of the year?

My goal for 2016 was to improve my tournament finishings. So far through 3 tournaments I've got a 28th place and 2 DNFs, though one of those is because I didn't get to fish. I asked the lady if I can claim a PA as potential earnings loss on the insurance. Didn't get the green light on that.

How'd the bowfishing trip go?
The reason I couldn't make it to the tournament is I had all our gear in the truck, ready to go and were supposed leave right after work on Friday. The girlfriend called at 2 and told me a tree had fell on her house so we dealt with that all weekend. There's about a 4'x7' hole in the house that they're trying to get patched before this rain.

Friday night, limits.
Saturday night, despite being no wind was muddy as hell and only shot 10 total. hit one hole where we saw at least 7 gars 5 feet long
