Was planning on utilizing Black Friday to stock up on some new poles. I figured my best bets would be Bass Pro, Cabelas, and Academy. Anyone of you bought fishing gear on BF? Do they typically have good deals on this kinda stuff? Or is it just good deals on 32" Kawasaki tvs?

Tackle Warehouse usually has good deals, plus there's no tax and free shipping.

I don't need anything but somehow on Black Friday I always end up buying crap that's too cheap to pass up. I might be inclined to buy an inflatable PFD if the deal is decent.
Academy has some early deals but nothing special, $20 off some All Star rods is about the only thing of interest.

Palo, I'll have to check Tackle Warehouse out.
YOURADHERE, thanks for reminding me about something else I wanted to buy Those inflatable PFDs are an convenient way to get in the habit of wearing life jackets at all times (or at least while running)

I don't have a link yet but was told West Marine will have a buy one, get one free on their inflatable PFDs. So $120 for two.

The last time I went to town on Black Friday was in the early ninety's. My brother locked his keys in the truck at the hunting lease and we needed his wife's key. She was at the Pecanland Mall. Pre-cellphone days.
