What’s the deal on the Orange Grove canals off of the intracoastal canal in Bayou Black?
Heard earlier this year that fisherman were being told to leave because of that area now being posted as private canals ...

Orange grove is for sure private. I can't say for sure if the stories are true about gates going up and people getting tickets.
The ownership of that area is pretty well established. Check the GIS maps to get the information.

Check the gis maps. The guy usually raising hell only owns a percentage of a little bit in the back but tries to run people out the whole area. He is the one putting up the no fishing signs but having trouble getting the other land owners all on board.

So I hear now that Orange Grove is history to regularl ordinary fishermen like most of us . This is terrible news.
